They don't
No they don't
Street parking that's free after 7PM and side streets to park free.
Q54 bus and the q23
They sure do and is worth it
I'm sure it's at least 90 yrs old
No, I believe it is impossible, due to the constraints on the shop.
Amazing.. the ice cream is delicious and I loved the old fashioned decor.. I will most definitely continue going.
So first thing, this is not as good as people say it is. Do you guys notice anything different compared to most ice creams through the reviews, we didn’t get any cherries... second the milk shake was too liquidy and the fudge was over whelming. Most likely will never come back here again. I think Cold Stones serves better ice cream than this place. The only positive thing I can say I love the vintage feeling and look.
Birthday Cake Fail. Vito could care less that the center piece looks like this. On our way to Carvel. Where you can get a 16 year old to pipe something presentable.
Absolutely delicious homemade icecream and toppings! The ambiance is quaint and old school.
I love their banana splits! The fudge is my favorite part because it's so rich and delicious. This is sure to cure whatever sweet tooth you have. I also like that they keep it very old fashioned.
Great ice cream in a classic scoop shop that had been untouched by time. Plus they've been featured in movies!
Even doing takeout only during this pandemic, they do an amazing courteous job!
Love love love this place! What an awesome ice cream parlour. We have been coming here for years. Especially when my inlaws come back to town from down south, we have to be sure and make a trip here. The place really brings you back to when I was a kid. If you are in the area you NEED to stop by!
Great shop but ordered a banana split and got no banana... the folks behind the counter were super friendly though so I bit my tongue! Double check for bananas if you get a split.
Eddie's ice cream is amazing. It's really a must visit as the interior is so cool - preserved from a other time!
The BEST ICE CREAM EVER!!! Really FRIENDLY TOO ❤🍧👍
You enter Eddies and it is like you have stepped back in time. Great old fashioned Soda and Sweet shop offering fresh made ice cream and sweet treats to meet different palates. Had the home made coconut ice cream with hot fudge, it was one of the best ice cream sundaes I have had since I was a kid. Highly recommend a visit when in the area.
Found this gem through my wife. My father in law used to come here when he was a kid, my wife came here when she was a kid and yesterday we brought our own kids for the first time. This place is like going back to the 30’s, since every detail has been kept original since. As an Italian, I remember what a gelato place used to look like in the old Roman days, and this is exactly the same vibe (and smell!!). The fresh whipped cream tastes as a real whipped cream should. The ice cream is great and not too sweet. There is a plethora of toppings and syrups to choose from. I will definitely go back to try their banana split: it looked delicious.
Very old ice cream shop! I always go back for the vanilla banana chocolate icecream with the homemade whip, chocolate fudge and wet walnuts on it!! I know what I just said sounds too busy but definitely amazing! You'll love it! They have other varieties as well so you wont be disappointed whatever you try! I'm not a whipped cream fan, but they make their own and its handmade daily, so try it!
Wow, blow my mind, for some may be a regular ice cream shop. But I'm sorry for my ignorance but super great, love it, coming back next weekend with the kids. Getting a waitress for your icecream, what super cool. The icecream is as fresh as it can get, super nice flavors, strawberry super delicious, been in a few places and this one was perfect. Everything made in the house, lot of toppings. Let's not even talk about the prices. Wow super good. So good they should char a little more. Just saying. Thank you so much for your service
Delicious ice cream, great ppl, very Historic
There was a line to sit down at a table but it moved pretty quick from what I noticed. You also have the choice of sitting at a bar type of setting or ordering to go from there. The ice cream is served nicely and tastes great. Good portions with great toppings. I also got a very good thick shake I didn't even bother to try and drink with a straw.
This place was really good we tried four different items and they all hit the spot. The carmel is homemade but beware its grainy! The sodas are great especially with a scoop of ice cream. The only reason I'm giving four starts instead of five is because the service was slow and they were not busy and if you are coming for a waffle cone or brownie sundae you are out of luck.
Love the old school feel and look. The candy bar is awesome. Reminds me of the candy stores when I was younger. The ice cream is great. Atmosphere, hospitality and prices are all great. Definitely worth the trip to get some ice cream and candy.
Low-key Old-fashioned sweets and ice cream parlor. Delicious home made ice cream. Over 15 ice cream flavors. Simple menu, sundaes, milkshakes, floats, flavored sodas and Banana splits! Lots of candies! Service can improve but the guys are pretty efficient on getting your scoops.
Is in the neighborhood of Forest Hills this is the number one go to place out of anywhere in the area. This is one of the oldest ice cream shops in all of New York City and in my opinion is one of the best. This place is like a time capsule and I was not changed very much. The ice cream is great. But if you are ever in Queens or in Forest Hills definitely 100% come here.
So I LOVE this place!! The icecream is great and all the workers are sweet EXCEPT this one young attractive white guy who made me upset because he was so rude and didn’t even ask for our order. At the end I had to ask Jonathan instead and then the other guy started giving Jonathan attitude !! That’s just rude because Jonathan was so sweet and yeah so now I’m upset because I won’t be going back until a long time when I can go back without feeling angry.
The ice cream was good. The portions were acceptable for the money. The shop is small and the interior is tired but clean and needs a redo. I found the person helpful and patient. He needed to be, the selection and combinations of ice cream, toppings, and syrups was mindblowing. The shop is visible from traffic on Metropolitan Ave. The only parking available is street parking. There is a low step entering the shop and the doorway is narrow so wheelchair access is questionable. I recommend Eddie's for the ice cream but not the ambiance.
Its like walking back in time. The decor is kept very close to the original. The staff is friendly and the treats are delicious. Be prepared to wait a few minutes because its a small shop with a lot of fans... But its worth the wait
I first found Eddie’s 55 years ago when it was still called Whitt’s. I’ve moved away some 30-odd years back, but I still revel in the memory of this most spectacular ice cream parlor I’ve ever found. All is home made, but above and beyond anything is the whipped cream. Home made whipped cream? Never heard of any such thing! This is the ultimate ice cream exprrience!
Let’s start off with the selection of Ice Cream, and toppings. Just mind blowing. Apparently, it’s all made by them (ice cream) portions were great, and the shakes are delicious. The server was patient and welcoming. He was training someone that day. (good luck bud) It’s a hop back in time spot. However, this is where they fall short. The ambience is dreary. The place is clean but the decor needs to be revamped, and some life thrown into it. Definitely recommended for all your ice-cream needs. They make cakes too! They offer a variety of classic candies, and other sweet treats as well. Definitely will be back. Parking around here is tough.
I demolished this. Took a sweet lady in her 90s here for a treat. She LOVED the old style of this place. She wants to come back!
Hands down the best ice cream spot. Service is on point & ice cream is yummy! Do yourself a favor & check them out.
Eddies Sweet Shop is back opened! They make some of the best ice cream in the area. They have reduced hours from 3-9pm Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday
One of the best ice cream parlors you will ever have the pleasure of visiting. Great mixes of flavors
Best ice cream I have ever taste in New York! The place decoration old style is amazing
Had basic vanilla ice cream with hot fudge and it was absolutely delicious. Really fresh ingredients at a great price.
Home made ice cream that is affordable and delish. Don't skip the home made whipped cream and I recommend the coconut flavor ice cream it! You will be back for more.
When entering you get the feeling you are in 1960 . The nostalgic vibe is amazing and the staff is great. The whipped cream is homemade and like nothing you have ever had. Nice selection of homemade ice cream. Enjoy
Coffee flavored ice cream and root beer soda float was great. Decor is definitely a blast from the past, but could use some restoration/treatment for the wear and tear. Had to say the service was "okay" because it seemed the all servers were a little more preoccupied with personal concerns rather than following up with customers. However, all in all, would visit again because the experience is that good.
In this place you can eat delicious homemade ice cream at a reasonable price. I discovered this place thanks to a recommendation, about three years from now. I visit this place at least once a month because of its variety in home made ice cream. My favorite one is the coffee ice cream, although I have tried them all. The summer special ice cream are the best as well. I Highly recommend it.
Another gem on metropolitan Ave. We love how old fashioned this place is and how amazingly good the options are. I'm not the biggest ice cream fan but I absolutely love an ice cream float with mint chocolate chip and root beer. My wife got maple Walnut with hot fudge. As always we loved our visit. This place is cash only so be aware, but definitely worth hitting an ATM for.
My son and I popped in for a little afternoon treat . The place is a cute little shop , very homey . Due to COVID indoor dining isn’t allowed and they don’t have any outdoor seating so that was kind of a bummer . I had a banana split which came with 2 scoops ( I had pistachio and vanilla fudge ) , chocolate syrup , banana pieces , whipped cream a cherry and sprinkles , and my son had a sundae with strawberry ice cream one scoop and rainbow sprinkles . It was a little pricey and The ice cream comes in a cup not a bowl so the presentation isn’t great but the taste is amazing . The ice cream is homemade , it wasn’t overly sweet but gave us the sugar kick we were looking for . I would come back again.
The place is old-fashioned and has a '50s kind of vibe going for it. I live, like, 12 minutes away and I absolutely love it! Definitely somewhere you should check out if your visiting this part of Brooklyn. The sweets are absolutely delicious! I'm very happy that after 90 years, this place is still open.
Delicious homemade ice cream and toppings. I had a sundae with 2x scoops chocolate 1x strawberry, hot fudge, marshmallow, and their amazing thick homemade whipped cream. It was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing.
You have to go here and experience it for yourself! It feels like you've traveled back in time to the glory days of the old sweet shops and ice cream parlors. The original decor is what makes this place so authentic; you'll see what I mean when you visit. It's a busy spot, especially on evenings and weekends, but that's the beauty of it! Their ice cream is the best around, and their signature whipped cream on top is the perfect finishing touch. Love this place!
Definitely still have the old fashioned feel, look, and decorate to match. Makes you feel like you have been transported back in time. Sweet shop, dessert shop, ice cream parlor or whatever name you give it...is name that this place has. Very friendly staff, great service and great dessert....especially the speciality ice creams.
Limited selection, but excellent taste. All flavors are gluten free
We came here and loved it! It's a small shop but plenty of space to sit at the counter or table. Homemade ice cream and toppings for a reasonable price. The service was great, and the sweets were as delicious as I hoped they would be. If you live close, go here. If you live far away, it's worth the travel time to get here.
Great Mom and Pop store. Old time feel. Homemade ice cream. Very cozy and nice. Guys behind the counter are friendly and helpful as well.
Had the banana split and sundae with toppings. The icecream was great and can't say the same about the whipped cream tho. The place has a very cool and chill vibe to it. Might come back again.
Old school icecream parlor with delicious flavors and great service. Banana royal is to die for
This place was great. The ice cream was delicious and everything from the syrups to the whip cream was fresh made in house.
What a nice classic ice cream parlor! There aren’t places left that sell coke for $0.05 (they don’t really but they have the sign). Simple ice creams with all the classic fixings. I personally loved the marshmallow “sauce”. The coffee chip was my favorite flavor. Chocolate and coffee with marshmallow drizzled over the top, it’s magical. They also have bar style seating by the front so if you’re ever feeling down, this is the bar to go to. Nothing a sundae can’t fix, try 2 if 1 doesn’t work.
The best ice cream I've ever had!!! The atmosphere and setting makes you feel like you're in a movie! My friend and I shared the ice cream sundae and it was so delicious. Their homemade whipped cream is amazing on its own! So so good. Worth the trek here.
